I have worked though many harvests in South Australia and this painting is a common view in my daily routine. I would typically drive 45 minutes every day through farming country taking in the landscape. As long as the days are during harvest, the site of the farms are always a beautiful view, and my favourite in particular is at dawn. When the morning is fresh, the sun is warming the crops and highlighting the clouds.
